Speaker's Bureau - Mark Atteberry

Mark Atteberry
The Caleb Quest (Thomas Nelson, spring, 2004) is Mark’ answer to one of the most troubling questions of our time: If God has promised to answer our prayers and give us the desires of our heart, then why are so many Christians mourning the death of their dreams?

Free Refill (Standard Publishing, 2007) was written for believers whose faith is running low. It acknowledges that even the greatest heroes of the faith occasionally experienced a famine of faith, and it celebrates the fact that our gracious God gives free refills! Notice the word, free. The good news is that you don't get a faith refill be jumping through hoops, working harder, or adding to your already overcrowded schedule. You get it by refocusing on Jesus.

In The 10 Dumbest Things Christians Do (Nelson, 2006), Mark identifies ten foolish mistakes many Christians make, sometimes on a daily basis, that hinder the kingdom, frustrate God, and give the devil an unlimited supply of ammunition to use against us. These mistakes, though devastating, often go unnoticed because they have been accepted without challenge for so long. Many have become so deeply ingrained in the culture of the church that they seem normal and healthy.

Walking with God on the Road You Never Wanted to Travel (Thomas Nelson; July, 2005) In a fallen world, pain doesn’t ask permission. With a single statement, your happy, well-ordered life can explode into chaos.  Based on the Israelites’ 40-year trek in the wilderness, Mark offers 13 survival strategies for hard road travelers. Tempered by more than 30 years of pasturing, his insights are warm, relevant, and compassionate. Many readers have commented that the book became a lifeline to God during the darkest days of their struggle.

The Climb Of Your Life (Faith Communications, July, 2004) might well be the most uplifting book you’ll ever read. Based on King David’s famous mountain of the Lord passage in Psalm 24, it offers beleaguered Christians a whole new way of looking at the life of faith and, more importantly, a new and exciting way of living it. With all the warmth and wit you’ve come to expect, Mark will challenge you to kiss the valley of mediocrity goodbye once and for all and set out on a lifelong quest for spiritual elevation.

The Samson Syndrome (Thomas Nelson, 2003) is a riveting book that answers a question we have all asked at one time or another: “Why do strong men fail?” Why do highly gifted, intelligent, and influential men so often ruin their lives with foolish choices and scandalous behavior?  In The Samson Syndrome, Mark shows the timeless nature of those tendencies and how they are still destroying men today. More importantly, he offers biblical, workable strategies for overcoming each one.
