Abounding Opportunities

Because of the abundance of churches and organizations in the Metro Area and the high demand for workers, every student at SLCC has the ability to become a part of dynamic ministries. Opportunities to teach, lead music or preach regularly are readily available for students of SLCC. Our students join together to serve others. Many become involved as ministers at churches and open the door of opportunity for others in areas of music and youth. Others gain irreplaceable experience from involvement in the many dynamic churches in the area.

Types of Ministries

Within miles of SLCC, you can find every type of ministry opportunity. From urban to rural settings, the abundance of ministries and churches is overwhelming.

Urban Ministry - Our students can get involved in regular inner city activities where they help with church services, youth, street ministries, neighborhood evangelism, housing rehab, and many others. Life at SLCC gives you the chance to gain experience in making a difference in cultures other than your own.

Serve in Metropolitan Churches - The large number of churches in the St. Louis area offers an abundance of life experiences for students at SLCC. You can get involved in youth programs that will allow you to be a part of small or large youth ministries. You can be a part of the lives of teens in junior and senior high programs. You can gain the joy of working with small children in both weekend and mid-week activities. Whether working with just a few kids or a hundred, the experience of teaching them about Christ is excellent.

Serve in Rural Churches - Just a short drive from the metropolitan area, you will find there are plenty of opportunities in rural churches for students to serve. From supply preaching to leading worship the demand is always high.

Global Missions - At SLCC, students have the ability to get involved with a variety of mission trips and missions organizations.
